Match Performance Indicator (MPI) is a sports KPI. This term was created, and used extensively, in the eye surveillance and analysis system4TALENT.
Basically, MPI is defined as an indicator of player performance compared to certain position standards in the field. When assessing for example the performance of a soccer player, it is possible to compare his statistics with MPI from his playing position.
Since its introduction, the term has been used extensively in various Danish media including Extra Bladet, BT, 6'eren and Kontra Magazine.
