Histori
In 1852, Francis Wolle, a schoolteacher, invented the first machine to produce a massive paper bag. Wolle and his brother patented the machine and founded Union Paper Bag Company.
In 1871, its inventor, Margaret E. Knight designed a machine that can create flat-bottomed paper bags, which can carry more than previous envelope-style designs.
In 1883, Charles Stilwell patented a machine that made square-sized paper bags with pleated sides, making them easier to fold and store. This bag style is then known as S.O.S., or "Self-Opening Sack".
In 1912, Walter Deubener, a grocery store in St. Louis. Paul, Minnesota, used a rope to strengthen the paper bag and added a carry handle. These "Deubener Shopping Bags" can carry up to £ 75 at a time, and become very popular, selling over a million bags per year by 1915. Paper bags with handles then become standard for department stores, and are often printed with logo stores or color brand.
Plastic bags were introduced in the 1970s, and thanks to the cheaper cost, eventually replaced the paper bags as the preferred bag for the grocery store. With the tendency to gradually reduce light plastic bags, some traders and buyers have switched back to paper bags.
In 2015, the world's largest paper shopping bag is made in the UK and recorded by Guinness World Records.

Production
Standard brown paper bags made of kraft paper. Tote type paper bags, such as those often used by department stores or gift bags, can be made from different types of paper, and have any color. Paper bags can be made from recycled paper, with some local laws requiring bags to have a minimum percentage of post-consumer recycled content.
Lito - printed for best results. Very good and sharp colors can be printed with lithography techniques in the production of laminated paper bags.
Single layer
Paper shopping bags, brown paper bags, shopping bags, paper sandwich bags and other light duty bags have one layer of paper. Various constructions and designs are available. Many are printed under the name of the store and brand. Paper bags are not waterproof. Types of paper bags are: laminated, twisted, flat tap. The laminated bag, while not completely waterproof, has a laminate that protects the exterior to some degree.
Multiwall paper sack
Multiwall (or multi-wall) paper sacks or shipping bags are often used as shipping containers for bulk materials such as fertilizer, animal feed, sand, dry chemicals, flour and cement. Many have multiple layers of paper sacks, an external printed layer, and an inner layer. Some paper sacks have a plastic film layer, foil, or polyethylene paper layer in between as a water holder, an insect holder, or a rodent rodent.
There are two basic design bags: open mouth bag and valve bag. Open mouth bag is a paper tube with the bottom end sealed. The pockets are filled though the mouth is open and then covered with stitches, glue, or ribbons. The bag of sacks has both ends covered and filled through the valve. A typical example of a valve bag is a sack of cement.
Recycle
