The Manchester operation or just "Fothergill operation" is a technique used in gynecological operations. This is an operation for uterine prolapse. The goal is to reduce cystourethroe and reposition the uterus in the pelvis.

1- Initial dilation and curettage 2- Cervical amputation 3 - strengthens the cervix by sewing the cut end of Mackenrodt ligaments in front of the cervix 4 - anterior colporrhaphy 5- Posterior colpoperineorraphy
